共享最新诊疗技术 中国—塞拉利昂对口医院合作机制项目启动

The paired hospital cooperation project between the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in China and the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital in Sierra Leone was officially launched in Sierra Leone on June 3. 

6月3日，中国中南大学湘雅医院与中塞友好医院对口合作机制项目在塞拉利昂正式启动

The project was coordinated by the National Health Commission. Recommended by the Hunan Provincial Health Commission and approved by both the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone and the Sierra Leonean side, the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University established a partnership with the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital, aiming to jointly build a China-Africa community of health.

中国-塞拉利昂对口医院合作机制项目由国家卫生健康委统筹。经湖南省卫生健康委推荐，通过中国驻塞拉利昂使馆同意、塞方确认，最终决定由中南大学湘雅医院与中塞友好医院建立对口医院合作机制，旨在共建中非卫生健康共同体。

At the event, Wang Peng, Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, stated that China attaches great importance to supporting the development of Sierra Leone's health sector. The project aims to share China's latest and most advanced diagnosis and treatment technologies with Sierra Leone through the pairing of Xiangya Hospital and the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital, which will surely bring new well-being to the people of Sierra Leone.

现场，中国驻塞拉利昂使馆代办王鹏表示，中方高度重视支持塞卫生事业发展，本项目旨在通过湘雅医院和中塞友好医院结对，将中方最新最先进的诊疗技术与塞方共享，必将为塞人民带来新福祉。

Zhang Xin, Party secretary of the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, introduced that based on field research and repeated discussions, the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital decided to cooperate on one center (Telemedicine Center) and three medical specialties (Cardiology, Otolaryngology, and Ophthalmology). This decision was made after considering the current conditions, needs, and development plans of the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital, as well as competitive disciplines of the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.

中南大学湘雅医院党委书记张欣表示，结合中塞友好医院的现状、需求、发展规划及湘雅医院的优势学科，通过实地调研和反复沟通，决定以一个中心（远程医学中心）、三个专科（心血管内科、耳鼻喉科、眼科）作为中塞对口医院合作发展领域。

At the launch ceremony, the Xiangya Hospital of Central South University donated a batch of advanced medical supplies to the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital. The equipment will greatly improve facilities of the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital and enhance its disease diagnosis and treatment capabilities. Additionally, the Chinese expert team conducted a remote consultation for a case of brain injury at the Sierra Leone-China Friendship Hospital Telemedicine Center. They reviewed imaging results online, and provided clinical diagnoses and further treatment recommendations, which were highly praised by the medical community in Sierra Leone.

仪式现场，中南大学湘雅医院向中塞友好医院捐赠了一批先进的医疗物资，这批设备将极大改善中塞友好医院的硬件设施条件，提高其疾病诊断和救治能力。此外，专家团队还在远程医疗中心进行了1例脑外伤病例的远程会诊，在线阅片，提出临床诊断及下一步诊疗建议，得到塞拉利昂医疗界官员的广泛好评。
