The 2026 Spring Festival Gathering for Foreign-invested Enterprises in Changsha was held on February 1, 2026. Attendees included Shen Yumou, director of the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province; Zheng Ping, vice mayor of the People's Government of Changsha City; and Chen Jianwen, vice chairperson of the Changsha Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Changsha's economy has demonstrated remarkable resilience and vitality in the face of a complex and volatile external environment and multiple challenges in 2025, achieving significant progress in developing an open economy. The city's total import and export volume reached 287.54 billion CNY, with actual utilization of foreign capital exceeding 400 million USD. The international economic and trade network of Changsha now spans 233 countries and regions worldwide.

2025年来，面对复杂多变的外部环境和多重挑战，长沙经济展现出了强大的韧性与活力，开放型经济发展成效显著。全市进出口总额达2875.4亿元，实际使用外资超4亿美元，国际经贸“朋友圈”覆盖全球233个国家和地区。

Currently, Changsha continues to advance the "Three Hubs" construction, leveraging its strengths in advanced manufacturing clusters such as construction machinery, rail transit equipment, and aerospace. Relying on national-level opening-up platforms like the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone, the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, and the Pioneering Zone for In-depth China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation, along with its globally-accessible multi-modal transport network integrating water, rail, and air routes, the city is continuously optimizing the business environment to provide robust support for foreign enterprises.

当前，长沙持续推进“三个高地”建设，坐拥工程机械、轨道交通、航空航天等先进制造业的高地，依托自贸试验区、中非经贸博览会、中非经贸深度合作先行区等国家开放平台及“水铁空”多式联运畅达全球的优势，不断优化营商环境，为外企发展提供保障。

Vice Mayor Zheng Ping remarked that the success of enterprises is the city's greatest pride. Changsha will consistently uphold the principle of "giving priority to serving enterprises," striving to build a partner city that is "grateful, trustworthy, and full of opportunities." In the new year, Changsha will offer its utmost sincerity, most favorable policies, and most pragmatic measures to assist foreign enterprises in expanding investments, establishing R&D bases, and broadening market reach. We hoped all parties to unite and forge ahead together, accelerating the pace of reform and opening-up while composing a new chapter of win-win cooperation, he added.
