湖南团队攻克低甲烷水稻核心技术

On March 23, at the Hunan YueLuShan Laboratory, Professor Jin Yunkai from Hunan Agricultural University led his team in conducting research on low-methane rice breeding. Prof. Jin Yunkai, together with his research team, has been engaged in such research field for ten years. They took the world's lead to cultivate a new rice variety which can cut methane emissions by 70% while increasing yield by 20%. The research outcomes will soon be utilized in field production, providing important support for China's dual carbon goals and promote the development of Hunan's rice paddy carbon trading market.

3月23日,在湖南岳麓山实验室,湖南农业大学靳云凯教授带领团队开展低甲烷水稻育种研究。该团队历经十余年科研攻关,在全球率先培育出甲烷减排70%的水稻新品种,兼具增产20%优势,即将进入大田试种与推广阶段,为中国实现“双碳”目标、推动湖南稻田碳交易市场建设提供重要支撑。
